Qotho Minerals has launched its 2027 Proficiency Testing Programme, alongside a new online registration process designed to make planning and managing PT participation simpler for laboratories.
Laboratories can now review available proficiency testing schemes, select the rounds relevant to their operations and submit their registration online through the Qotho Minerals website.
Making mining proficiency testing simpler
Proficiency testing provides laboratories with an independent means of evaluating analytical performance and comparing results with other participating laboratories.
For laboratories operating across the mining and minerals sector, planning PT participation across multiple commodities, materials and rounds can be complex.
The new online registration process brings this into one journey, allowing participants to provide their organisation, billing and shipping information before selecting the PT schemes and individual rounds they require.

The Qotho Minerals programme supports laboratories working across a broad range of commodities and materials within the global mining and minerals sector, with schemes covering areas including chrome, manganese, iron, copper, Platinum Group Metals (PGMs), cobalt, zinc, lead, aluminium, nickel, gold, vanadium and heavy mineral sands.
